Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 10, 2026
SignalSplash is designed to work without cookies. Our analytics SDK collects data using privacy-preserving techniques that do not rely on persistent browser storage.
What we don't use
We do not set any third-party tracking cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or fingerprinting technologies on the websites of our customers.
Session identification
To distinguish between sessions and count unique visitors without cookies, we use a short-lived, hashed combination of anonymised signals (such as a salted hash of the IP address and user agent). This identifier is never stored on your device and cannot be used to track you across sites.
The SignalSplash dashboard (signalsplash.com)
When you log in to the SignalSplash dashboard, we set the following strictly-necessary cookies:
- better-auth.session_token — an encrypted session cookie that keeps you logged in. It expires after 7 days of inactivity and is set with
HttpOnly,Secure, andSameSite=Laxattributes. - better-auth.session_data — a short-lived client-readable cache of your session (5 minutes) to reduce round-trips to the server.
These cookies are essential for the dashboard to function. You cannot opt out of them while logged in, but they are deleted when you sign out.
No cookie consent banner?
Because we only use strictly-necessary cookies on the dashboard (accessible only to authenticated users), and zero cookies on customer-facing analytics collection, we do not show a consent banner. If you believe this needs to change for your jurisdiction, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our cookie usage changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
